Centrum Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd (Centrum) was acquired as a 100% wholly owned company of Indigenous Business Australia during September 2003. Centrum Insurance Brokers is focused on providing quality insurance products at competitive premium costs, together with personal service and independent advice to Indigenous associations, organizations, and businesses throughout Australia. The head office of Centrum is located in the Brisbane suburb of Ashgrove, and trades locally in that area as Newman Cameron Australia. All Centrum insurance broking staff are qualified and experienced insurance people capable of providing a solution for most insurance needs. The brokerage is fully licensed under the Financial Services Reform Act. The Centrum brokerage has negotiated a specific Indigenous insurance program with a major Australian insurer, providing the opportunity for Indigenous business and commerce to obtain an independent review of their existing insurance programs together with obligation free premium quotations. The Board of Directors has structured the objectives of the brokerage to ensure that a percentage of annual profits generated by Centrum will be set aside to assist in providing training and scholarship support for Indigenous nominees wishing to enter the financial services area. The theme of Centrum is - INDIGENOUS OWNED – INDIGENOUS FOCUSED. Centrum Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd is a member of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA), the professional body for insurance brokers. Centrum Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd also subscribes to The Insurance Brokers Disputes Limited, a free consumer service designed to handle complaints and help resolve issues between brokers and their clients.
